The Micropore Technologies media for generating emulsions is particularly suitable for the generation of drops-within-drops, or encapsulated emulsions and dispersions. The straight-through passage of the media does not break-up or badly shear the primary emulsion as it is injected into the new continuous phase.

Drops such as that shown opposite are easily possible, depending on the chemistry of the process as well as the physical operating conditions of the equipment.
