Circular pores are available with diameters of 2 microns, or more.
A circular pore medium is ideal for dispersion duties. The pores are uniform and in a regular array with a significant distance between each pore. This helps stabilise the drops as they enter the continuous phase. Our patent applied for membranes, and treatments, provide an ideal support for emulsion generation. For drop sizes less than 2 microns, we can supply a microsieve of a slightly different design, with pore diameters of down to 0.8 microns. For even smaller diameters, we use a sintered porous glass tube. Hence, we can provide equipment to cover the production of emulsions from sub-micron through to many 100's of microns.
